Very glad to hear it. I agree that it would be far better for these folks to find jobs and get on their feet. What kinds of job aid are they getting? Would love to see a "career fair" equivalent for these folks!

They have been holding job fairs most days at the evacuation centers.

Some employers are walking in with signs and walking though the crowd.

A pastor related a story yesterday at church (Second Baptist of Houston)....

One of the buses came in from Louisiana and a kid jumped off and told the volunteers that he would be back in a few minutes. He ran across the street and disappeared into a Burger King. When he reappeared he had been hired on the spot. Apparently he was the only one on the bus that saw the help wanted sign as the bus passed the Burger King. I expect he is now a valued employee.

There are lots of people who are of similar character and they will do fine in Texas.
