My apologies to all. My electricity has been out for the last six hours. When I called Portland General Electric the message said, "We have no idea for the cause of this outage."
Go figure!
(Makes me shudder if AlQaeda would attempt a grid shut-off in the northwest!)

For a Portland area outage they explained that someone had hit a pole. But for the one where I live...........no explanation. Hmmmmm. I'll have to check the local Gannett rag online later (since I no longer subscribe to it)and find out exactly what the cause was.

Bush hosted and honored families of 400 fallen first responders on 9/11 given the medal of valor, posthumously. They rose to a standing ovation. I, for one, cannot help comparing their heroism to the disfunctional NO PD.
We would not approve foreign aids to a country as csrewed up as no. i AM NOT IN FAVOR OF MORE MONEY UNLESS INSTITUTIONS ARE REFORMED FIRST.
