it has changed to dismay and sadness that someone saw fit to include something so potentially divisive in this memorial when it could have easily been avoided.This is really no different than all those Muslims changing seats, congregating at the front of a plane, conversing deeply, etc. This was done deliberately, just to try us out.

It seems to be true that the people responsible were not unaware of the implications.

A name change might seem to be trivial, but memorials are by nature fraught with symbolism. Perhaps you are right, and I should just be angry, but it is still saddens me that the heroism of the people on that flight who resisted will now be linked to this controversy that could have been avoided.
