"There is a timeline over at Rightwing Nuthouse, "

Its pretty good - and notice that at least one federal military arm did'nt wait for no stinkin permission - the flyboys at the coast guard started rescues on day one with up to 2000 per day.

Homeland and FEMA did drop the ball - had they acted as swiftly as the United States Coast Guard, we would not have any problem.

UH NO because who do you think directed The CG? They did NOT just decide to do it. They were directed to. That is one of the things FEMA does do. That is why that CG Admiral is no in charge of operations down in NO. He was FEMA's second in command.

Maybe if you would stop trying to blame this on Bush you might stop and think a bit.

The Coast Guard works for DHS (Homeland as you put it). The difference was that they didn't have to get permission because by Law they were doing a job that was already within their scope of responsibilities. Why don't you stop reading left wing blogs and do some independent research.

They didn't have the authority. States' Rights is a fundamental concept of this nation. We don't inject Federal forces into states' business without invitation. (Well, OK. Lincoln did.)

Your "ABOUT" page only has 2 lines on it:

That is what this is about.
