Getting a military man in charge was the right thing for Bush to do.

Like I said, if you want to get legal, the Coast Guard did not wait for no stinkin permission and had FEMA and Homeland acted the same, there would be no problem.

Actually if they DHN and FEMA don't what you wanted they to do there would have been a whole lot more recriminations than you're seeing right now.

The fact is that CG works for DHS so all your talk about Brown and Chertoff is just plain wrong and BS. If it wasn't already in their mission statement the CG wouldn't have even been in a position to do anything.

PS You don't have to be a leftest to be wrong, some time people are just wrong. Lott is trying to do what the voters elected him to do but that doesn't make him right on this issue. He's has always brought home the bacon in the past and I'm sure he will continue to do so in the future.
