No money for the ACLU !!!I'm kewl wiff it. For the past few days, I've been checking out the LA Times website. I couldn't get past the first page before being forcibly linked to some ACLU commercial.
They should all rest in pieces.

It will never pass in the Senate. That would depend upon how many Republican dicks go limp (as per usual).

If some Senators don't want to pass it, then we make them vote anyway. Either they go on record as voting 'no', or the Dems go on record as filibustering it. Either way, they lose big--just think of the field day O'Reilly would have lambasting them.

Any idea on the status of this bill?
It might be good to know where it's sitting before I send an e-mail out to my Rep. about supporting it.

My Congressman is among those who introduced it. I just e-mailed him my thanks. They need to hear from "the folks" to make sure this is not some empty gesture and to make sure they work to get it passed.

We had it posted at http://www.stoptheaclu.com when Hostettler first announced it.
And it IS good news!

I notice how many of the sponsors are
members of The Liberty Committee (caucus).
We'll see how far it goes. I'd love to see DeLay get on board with this and move it forward.

The county settled the suit in July and paid the ACLU and the anonymous resident $150,001 in taxpayer dollars last month. Ten Commandments - Georgia refused to give any money for the settlement.
No wonder the ACLU always seems to be able to find a "concerned citizen" to complain about religious displays or prayers at school events--they offer to split the loot with them.

Bump. Keep in mind that this will also affect Rutherford and the ACLJ. I'm for it.

And the "criminal" document (paper framed 10-Commandements) is now up for auction on ebay to help recover costs.
