It was my pleasure. I'm actually surprised it isn't already posted (or the double-post police haven't bitten me yet).

It is such a great pictorial timeline. As one of the other posters noted, it is disturbing that nobody seemed to be concerned about leaving when the water was knee deep. But man, they sure were interested in taking stuff that wasn't theirs.

Thanks for the ping.

Everything was fine until the levee broke.

Yeah - except that the looting began before the levee ever broke!

Was that really live? It show people all over Bourbon street so I don't think so. But what do I know? :-)

"Was it really because he was white ..."

The photographer is actually Central American but that's just semantics. His '2 specks of salt in a sea of pepper' comment made it clear that he and his friend feared that they would not be made welcome at the CC. They were wise to beat feet out of there.

Another thing I'm sure of is that Truck #25 will be returned to its owner in good condition. I doubt the same can be said for any of the other vehicles the company left in the warehouse.

This pictorial really is amazing!

Some of the things that caught my attention was (1) the lack of water (flodding) on Day 1 and Day 2, just your "basic" hurricane damage; (2) the National Guard was present on Day 2; and the flooding did not start until Day 3.

Hearing the whining Democrats holler, one would assume that NOLA was under water right after the hurricane hit.

I think he said Venezualan, but what ever, he realized he needed to get out. Sad to say that he was smarter than most of the Americans sitting at the CC waiting for help.

Excellent points. I noticed the same thing.

I was so happy to see how he documented that help was there right from the start. If you got your news only from the MSM, you would never know there was any help for the first week.

I've been watching it for a week or so and still am not 100% positive it's live. While the feed drops out at times if it isn't live it's amazingly well synched to the real time of day.

Very impressive work. This guy has the makings of a million-dollar photo narrative. He needs to get this thing copyrighted as soon as possible, then start working on an agent.

The one shot of the cops "subduing" the looter at night is Pulitzer material.

That was amazing. One of the pictures was of an air boat riding by the Saenger Theater. I have been there many times.
