NASHVILLE - Police in Nashville say a woman accused in a bizarre murder case has tried to take her own life.
Martha Freeman is charged with first-degree murder in the beating death of her husband, Jeffrey Freeman. Police say he was killed after he discovered his wife's lover asleep in a bedroom closet in their home on April 10th.
Police charged Rafael DeJesus Rocha-Perez in the murder, then additionally charged Mrs. Freeman last month after questions arose during a court hearing in April.
Martha Freeman is free on $75,000 bond.
Police spokesman Don Aaron says officers were called to Freeman's home early on September first after a psychiatric worker called, saying Freeman had taken 60 anti-depressants and other unknown medication. Officers found her coherent, but called for an ambulance.

If my wife had a face like that, I'd just kill myself and save her the trouble.

She didn't try to take her own life. She tried (successfully) to get attention. Now if she had blown the top of her head off with a .357 Magnum, and survived...THEN I would say she tried to take her own life.
I tell ya...people do evil bad things all for sex and power.

I tell ya...people do evil bad things all for sex and power. Not all for sex and power. Many times it's just out of red hot anger, money, stupidity, and some are just plain violent.
I suggest we build more prisons in below sea level regions.

I would like to know what happened too. How on earth did she beat the husband to death?
To: Pirogue Captain
Maybe her ugly stick was still in the house.

Good point Why thank you. Seeing 3 year olds beat to death by the biological parents has a tendency for some to seek severe punishment.
I guess some would disagree.

Now that does make her look good........howling!

Somebody who beats a three year old to death deserves "due process" according to the law. ...then a quick execution.
I'll quit here, otherwise go on a tirade. Kid abusers bring out an especially vile part of my personality. :-)

Unfortunately however, that due process today means many years laying back in jail watching TV, while the lawyers get wealthy. And in the end, many times there is no execution.
