I understand the fight. My husband and I were threatened, some one tried to burn our home down. I get it.
I am concerned over a kindergartner.
If the law says he can opt out his child, then I feel like I am not getting all the information.
If David is being belligerent and disruptive at these meetings (I am not saying he is), the school district will call in the authorities. I saw it done at my school board meetings. We found a local attorny to represent our cause, pro bono. It is very difficult to not be a screaming maniac when these school boards and administrators are such idiots but if thats the case they will not listen to you.
The Japanese have a great saying, "the first one to raise their voice has lost the argument'". It does his cause no good if he is not permitted to attend the meetings or see his child / ren teacher.

You can see interviews with David Parker on numerous sites. He's been on Fox multiple times and on the local news. He's the model of reasonableness and moderation in his demeanor and behavior. There isn't any question about his behavior being out of line in the least. That's what makes the other side's behavior even more egregious in comparison. All he's doing is taking a principled stand and asking respectfully, but firmly, that his rights as a parent and citizen be honored.

That's just it...the school wouldn't agree to that. Discussing 'families' is not discussing sexuality and you, the parent, cannot opt out your child unless the discussion is about sexuality...the discussion of which they say doesn't begin till the 5th grade...

I was so pissed about what I experienced in the schools in the town that I grew up in that I ran for school committee when I was in my late '20s. I used the soapbox to tell parents what really happens in school. The only other thing I talked about was vouchers. Of course, vouchers are unconstitutional in Massachusetts, but the local newspapers never figured that out.

When our kids came along, we moved out of town 8-)

Didn't matter anyway though because we decided from the beginning to homeschool.

The situation is close to hopeless. The only way to break the teacher union/socialist/pervert deathgrip on gov't schooling is vouchers.
