Not California. We drove most Demoncrats out of MY State years ago. They ruled virtually all statewide offices about 20 years ago. We got rid of them when we drove out turncoat Republicans. Any Republican that did not support the Republican who won the primary was never given another penny from the party and most people in it.
Unfortunately, California has not done that yet. They still allow other "Republicans" to stab everyone in the back by running as "independent" or "libertarian" or something else when they know that they will ONLY draw votes from the Republican. Consequently, the Demoncrats around here got it year after year with less than half the vote.
BTW, several of the Republicans thrown out tried to get elected as something else. As far as I know, not a single one was ever elected again. Good riddance.
