I think this email that Rush was reading was about the other police officer that committed suicide, not the one you are finding. There has never been any news articles that gave the name of the second officer so I'm assuming that that is the one Rush is referring to. Accardo and his wife were separated and of course she is still living. Accardo is the only officer named in any news article. Rush said that the policeman returned home to find that his wife and children had been killed, mutilated and raped. Hope this explains.

It was the cop that killed himself that was the press officer at the PD (he stayed at the PD to release info to the media. poor guy, do your job, and come home to see that. what scum must exist in NO). He came home to find them dead. God have mercy on this man's soukl. One can only know what he went through.
