I'll tell you summer's over. When the Pats took the field, the Red Sox were switched to the small TV at my club.

This is a bad article. All it says is that somehow Katrina confirms Pat's isolationist views?

Had half that sum been spent fortifying the levees of Lake Pontchartrain, New Orleans would not be underwater today.
Pat, that's an unbelievable statement, even for you.

I think Pat would have done well in the summers of 1915 and 1939!
BTW, Gravina Island, pop. 50 also has the Ketchican Airport on it. Still not worth a 250 million dollar bridge however. (The small "ferry" ride is actually quite quaint - it's more of a barge). Although I imagine bad weather complicates things.

More b#$hing from Pat but he offers no solutions. Pat, you are irrelevant, even Ralph NAder got more votes than you.
To: Cincinatus
What did he say that's so out of bounds in your presumably expert opinion?
To: Black Tooth
I refuse to read anything PB says anymore. So everything I know about what he posted is based on what Freepers have said in this thread.
Apparently Pat is going back in time to play with his balls for the 1915 Red Sox?
Good riddance.

As far as that quarter billion dollar bridge in Alaska, I don't think it is that simple. I'd bet the state of Alaska pays far more to the Fed in taxes than what it gets returned to the state due to all that oil. So they may well be due that money to bridges or roads wherever they choose to put them.

That's only at the Somerset Club. At *my* club the Sox are still on the big screen.

Yes loud mouth Pat, just what what are your plans. Remember most of this doom and gloom was caused by the Clintoon 8 years of nothing. World events were handled fairly good before Clintoon, but we will probably never recover from Clintoon.
Yes, the world according to Pat is doomed. Maybe so. Well, make suggestions and maybe I'll believe you. You seem to blame President Bush. Well, President Bush can only do what he can. Most Pork is attached to bills by the Democrats. Presidents can not line item bills. But for years Clintoon allocated monies to Louisiana for the express purpose to fix the levies, and the money disappeared. No real accountability was made since Louisiana was controlled by Democrats and no Democrat could do wrong. And who believed the enviromental jacka@@ and bought their votes? Here we have Clintoon and the Democrats.
Do me a favor, take a few aspirins and get a good night sleep.
