***Baby Alex Update!***
Saturday, September 17th
Well, Baby Alex continues to improve!
He is now down to only 4 "lines" in and out of his little body. He came out of surgery on Monday with 18! So, this is JUST TREMENDOUS!
He is learning how to take the a bottle and tolerating his feeding by bottle or nasal tube quite well!
The best thing to happen in the last 24 hours, is that his chest tube was finally removed!
HOORAY!!! That was one of the LAST big obstacles before he can get ready to go home.
He still has some "tests" that he needs to pass before being discharged. But the latest news is that this could be as early as TUESDAY!
I just find that to be miraculous, that a baby could have 2 surgeries (one being OPEN HEART) and go home 8 days later!~
It is amazing, and we are very very thankful~
I was waiting to see if Daddy Kirk would send out another "official update", but I think he is too blessedly busy being a DAD right now. And I for one, will not get in his way.
Aunti M0sby (that's me) is busily making all of the last minute arrangements to go and join the family where ever they are... Grand Rapids or Ann Arbor, makes no difference to me...I just want to get a good look at my new little nephew, and give him a good (but gentle) squeeze.
