Dems Used Katrina to Raise Funds
Fox News ^ | September 09, 2005 | AP

A new Democratic effort to whip up indignation about the Bush administration's handling of Hurricane Katrina also tried to raise money for Democratic candidates...

Republicans hit back by accusing Democrats of trying to use the human tragedy for political gain. The DSCC letter, the GOP said Thursday, was proof.

"It's a disgrace to exploit Hurricane Katrina to raise political funds," said Brian Nick, spokesman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

DSCC spokesman Phil Singer said: "While the content of the letter is totally valid, it should never have been linked to a Web site that asks people to contribute to political campaigns."

Well there is a $2,000.00 lump sum spending money floating out there, and liberals usually get a % of every hand out.

"Hello, I'm Charles Schumer, and I've got a secret. I'm a schmuck."

I always thought that was public knowledge. Right up there with "don't eat yellow snow"...

All this anti-Bush propaganda and hysteria, which incidentally is being forwarded to me by my friends who are brainwashed by the MSM, Oprah and Michael Moore website, MAKES ME WANNA PUKE!

The democrats are shameless and shameful, but the GOP lacks the cajones to call them out on it loud and clear.

Send your friends some of the articles from this site...fight fire with fire...I sent Major Garrett's interview to every friend who emails me crap and also asked them why are there so many people in NO below the poverty level...since their wonderful Democrat Party has been in charge of that state for 60 YEARS! Well it may not help convince them but it does stop their emails to me :)

Bet we'll hear about it if any conservative group attempts to tap into the outrage for the MSM distortion of the facts, and the biased attacks on the President.

This is absolutely shameful, but I expected no less. However, and I may get flamed for this, I was equally repulsed when 4 years ago I received from the RNC an opportunity to purchase a photo of our President aboard Air Force One on September 11. To this day I believe that this was done without President Bush's approval, but it was still a mistake.

Yea, libs get a % of handouts back in the forms of alcohol and cigarette taxes as well as the taxes paid by the bus drivers who drive them back and forth between the projects and the social security office.

Conservatives are guilty of the same thing when they use the issue of infanticide to keep Christian voters from straying off the plantation.

50,000,000 never born children = national disaster used by GOP to get votes

What's the difference between that and this?

Schumer is scum-or-the-earth level of politician.

I sure hope somebody captured their website before they took it down. Will come in real handy next election cycle.
