Sorry, the quote sounds good on paper, but life is more than merely surviving. The Bible and thousands of Christian martyrs attest to it.
People should always be prepared to defend themselves against those that intend them harm. Oppose evil, because right, meaning God's truth, does matter. Effectively standing up for God's truth will not necessarily be of our might, but of courage, even surrender, and it just might mean you won't be left.
