Your description of the media in the '80's is exactly what we still have in Canada. We also have the Canadian Broadcasting Company, (the CBC), which is taxpayer funded to the tune of $1 Billion per year, in order to feed us constant Liberal government propaganda.
We did get Fox last year, but it's only available to satellite subscribers, and digital cable subscribers.

That a Leader of the Hiliary Election campaign is threatening Freepers is an indication of how scared Hiliary's people are about being exposed and the First Lesbian Presidential Candidate. Hiliary was outed during the First Clinton Administration when friends of Hiliary all Lesbians were appointed to key positions in the New Clinton Administration. Why Hiliary cannot be truthful about her Sexual preference is a serious question about her Mental Stability along with her raging temper and fits of violence towards cuckhold husband Bill.
We need a mentally stable person not a nutjob regardless of the political party or views. Responsible governance is a key issue for voters of either party. Truthfully Democratic Operatives and media types are coming unhinged. Bill Maher in his program gave the South permission to seceede from the Union. I am getting tired of this media darling gas bag and his self proclaimed importance.
With the more insane comments those in the middle are being driven to the right by these antics and historonics. I cannot fathom what thinking people see in the Left today.
What used to motivate me to vote Democrat is that working people did better under Democratic Administrations but that is no longer true. Tax and Spend politics, entitlement mentality, war on Families and Heterosexual Men. These are the modern tenants of the Democratic Party.
As for threatening me. Hey Bob threaten me with deadly force and produce a weapon. I will kill you. Make no mistake about it. I will return fire and I will shoot to kill. Are you ready for those consequences seriously? My fear is collateral damage. An innocent would get hit by a richochet or in the cross fire. Most conservatives I know are armed and some heavily armed. Many are ex Military and know how to use Fire Arms and some have seen combat.
