FWIW, I just saw a photo of a bunch of cowboys standing around what looks a LOT like a pterosaur a couple days ago on TV.
It was on The History Channel, on the Wild West Tech show. This episode was dedicated to late 1800's UFO/Sasquatch/raining fish, etc. reports.

Yep, it was on the Wild West Tech show a few days ago. My tivo caught it, though I didn't ask it to. Strange! Anyway, that picture of civil war soldiers with the fallen flying dinosaur doesn't seem authentic, and it's not the 'Thunderbird Photo' people seem to remember (but nobody can find).
Here is some info on that pic. The consensus seems to be that it's not authentic, and it's not the picture fans of this thing have in mind. Intriguing, though!
