Bush is too smart to try that angle even though it would have doubtless saved countless lives. Legally, what happened in NO was no insurrection, at least within the purview of that legal authority. It's a real tragedy the DUmmycrats who were in the lead legally killed thousands of those who...most likely...voted them into office. But what do they say?? Sh&t happens.

Legally, what happened in NO was no insurrection, at least within the purview of that legal authority Maybe not, but when a governing authority in the United States (the city and state here) make no attempt to protect the civil and constitutional rights of American citizens, do the Feds have the authority to step in to insure that those rights sre protected?

Technically Bush didn't need an insurrection. There was a Federal State of Emergency in effect since 9-14-2001. He renewed it today.
