I love Laura Bush, but in this instance her husband does not need this "I prefer a woman" crap. Would she be happy if he nominates another Ginsburg? It's the content of the character that counts.
The first time she said it, it was probably a heartfelt comment. I suspect if she said it again, it was something of a signal.
I've speculated that Scalia may choose to retire before Bush's term is out. JRBrown would be the best choice to replace him.
