Tim Roemer would be close personally as well as politically with Blanco. Why? Roemer is a son-in-law of former Louisiana Democrat Senator J. Bennett Johnston, Jr., and in 1971, young Kathleen Blanco and her husband Raymond headed the Johnston campaign in Lafayette Parish, opposing the more popular (at the time) Edwin Washington Edwards, also known as EWE. There has also been a theory that Raymond "Coach" Blanco is the real governor of the state.

Another interesting point: both J. Bennett Johnston, Jr., and EWE ended their elective careers by defeating the unpopular David Duke!

Thanks for the 'fill' on this one. . .interesting connections and speculations. . .

For sure we know. . .there is a vacuum of honest leadership from 'whom'ever is running the show here and most likely from all who participate in LA governance.
