Read tonight, after the perps were looting and running amok with guns. Bush debated declaring an insurrection and sending in federal troops to restore order and over ride blank Blanco objections. Legal types told him it was rioting, not an armed insurrection by the general populace and federal powers did not extend to take such action for present conditions at the time.

...federal powers did not extend to take such action for present conditions at the time. Yes, but when did facts or the law stand in the way of the DemoRats blaming President Bush for anything and everything?
If President Bush had intervened at that time, they would be screaming even louder then they are now.
When the Libs politicized the war I thought it was shameful and unAmerican. For them to now politicize a natural disaster....it goes beyond shameful...they are EVIL. They are in such darkness they can't even recognize the truth!
