The Fox News Channel's Major Garrett made another appearance on the program this evening, following up on his blockbuster story yesterday. Among other things, Garrett got confirmation --on camera-- of the Louisian State department of Homeland Security's blocking of the delivery of relief supplies to the Superdome and the Convention Center. In addition, Garrett received confirmation from senior Salvation Army officials in Washington, D.C. that the Salvation Army's efforts at supplying the evacuees were also repeatedly blocked. Radioblogger will have the transcript up later, but the key takeaway was when I asked Garrett if characterizing Louisian's preparation for the storm as "abysmal" was accurate and he confirmed that indeed it was. Read the whole thing.
I also asked Garrett why no other network is on this story. He can't offer an answer for that, event hough he points out that this isn't a hard story to get, and Fox News needn't be credited. All CNN has to do (or MSNBC or CBS) is call the Red Cross and get a camera over there.
Ann Coulter as press secretary...I can just see Helen Thomas and Ann having a cat fight and we know who would win that one...lol Kramer and Jerry would love that...lol Sorry everything can be related to a Seinfield episode or at least my husband thinks that and it apparently is rubbing off on me...lol
Are you kidding? I didn't listen since he'd been so hard on the President. What happened, did he get the info on Red Cross and Salvation Army?
"They also allowed the disaster to get as bad as it could be in an attempt to force the President to overstep his authority in order to save lives. By using Blanco as a giant monkey wrench in the federal machine, sabotaging the federal effort and blocking all help, they tried to force Bush's hand into violating Posse Comitatus so they could impeach him. It's that simple."
Do you have a link?
No... bet he's kicking himself in the behind about now or he still hasn't put all the dots together in his head yet.
I sent Major's interview to all my email buddies and if they send it to all their buddies, and so forth and so on then the word will continue to spread...we have to do this at the grassroots level as our so called "republicans" who get face time in the media are sorely lacking in getting out information like this.
Geesh, you put a judge on the supreme court and they move to the left. You put a microphone in front of a conservative and they move to the left. Incredible. She's lost me. FOR GOOD.
Is ANYONE going to make Blanco answer for this? Will she even be asked by the media?
It's stunning that the feds and administration are accused of doing exactly what the State did.
I don't think he said everyone...I think he meant the federal government.
I found her program entertaining last fall and earlier this year. But her attempts to distance herself from the POTUS make her appear as nothing more than a beltway insider. I'm making the move to Tony's program.
Rats---I missed H & C....I turned to football game for a minute and forgot to change back...
Sean didn't point out to Jackson that the Louisiana Homeland Security WOULDN'T let them in????
I agree...I was hollering at the TV again...much to the ammusement of my better-half. Then again, she's used to it.
Why...just as Rush was saying earlier...do the conservatives continually allow the libs/progressives/commies to frame the arguments, NOT answer the question, shout us down...Time to take the buu by the horns and give'em what for!!!
Did the libs play the delay game to make the Feds look bad?
If you quote Zogby most of the people on this board will dismiss you. being in the minority isn't necessarily bad, but given the fact Zogby awarded the presidential election to Kerry in the afternoon because he saw the false exit polls and rigged his to match ....because he campaigned overseas for Kerry...because his brother is connected to terrorist sympathetic organizations that hate this President....you aren't going to find many that take him seriously, or his polls seriously.
I think they need to get Gen. Honore to be the press secretary
_____________
Great idea!
Just saw Joe Scarborough and a Lt.Co. savage Bush. I simply don't understand this. He has to know about the Garrett interview with Brit. None of the other channels, as far as I can tell, even refer to it. It is as if they are pretending it away just to adfix blame to Bush. I hope it gets traction soon somewhere besides FR.
Probably would free up some welfare budget money too although I'm not sure how that whole thing works.
Check this out.
The U.S. Attorney General should appoint a special prosecutor. It looks like the Governor of Louisiana conspired with others to commit criminal negligence that resulted in death at the Superdome, the Convention Center, and the I-10 overpass.
No he didn't.
