Moot point, the Louisiana constitution repeats the Second Amendment in a clear, unambiguous style. Article 1, section 11:

§11. Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Section 11. The right of each citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be abridged, but this provision shall not prevent the passage of laws to prohibit the carrying of weapons concealed on the person.

At most, they could suspend concealed carry but that depends on whether or not they actually passed such a law.

According to those who advocate 'States Rights', any state has the police power to reasonably regulate the carrying of weapons, concealed or not.

I'd say that todays action by 'authorities' exceeds any reasonable test.

They did. But if it was like most such laws in southern states, until somewhat recently, and in some locations not even now, was the law enforced against the white population. Now they've modified the law to prohibit concealed carry, *unless* you have a state issued license to do so. It's a "shall issue" type system.
