This logical flaw and a general interest in science and technology is probably why a large number of political and social conservatives not only have not embraced ID, but actively defend evolution on dozens of internet forums and boards, such as Free Republic. Many conservatives find ID to be an embarrassment to the conservative movement. well, somebody HAS noticed all your hard work!
