What do you mean, new? They've been doing that for years. I can't count the number of letters in the paper I've seen that say something stupid like, "I am a Republican and I am still incensed at ____" and then go off on a litany that proves they aren't a Republican and aren't the least bit conservative.
I remembe Rush busting 'seminar callers' many years ago on his show. They always go out of their way to say the are Republicans, who they voted for, etc. They are very predictable, and usually use the exact same verbage, probably because they are reading from the same Faxed DNC talking points paper.
