"Phillip Bailey is not a terrorist," Jones said. "Phillip Bailey is not a presidential assassin nor a potential presidential assassin."

Ya, like I'm going to believe a college professor.

I'm still trying to figure out how folks had to go looting for food and water after only one day without.

Remember all those who said that Mohammad Siddique Khan was not a terrorist? That he was just a simple Yorkshire school teacher? That there was no way he could have been a suicide bomber -- that the police must have been mistaken in identifying him. And so forth.

Terrific point! As to the statement made by the idiot: if what he repeated in the article is what he did say, I don't see a 'direct threat against the President' The President wouldn't be down there confronting looters. He could have just as easily said, 'even Jesus if necessary'. I'm more outraged about his call to shoot police, it would be the latter who would be confronting looters.

Exactly ! If it was three days after the fact, then I would start calling it survival.

You would think there wasn`t a liter of soda or some crackers in a single household with all the looters.

I am not buying it myself either.

Phillip Bailey is not a presidential assassin nor a potential presidential assassin.

He's an easy lover. Like no other. And I'm just trying to make you see.

I am stunned. The BTK killers friends, neighbors, and family didn't know he was a serial killer either. Can we hold the good Professor libel if this jackass does do something stupid?

Philip Bailey probably had his race hatred of whitey fostered by his professors. All ethnic studies courses ought to be investigated for hate speech that is on a par with that of the old KKK.

Welfare checks and food stamps come on the first of the month. After buying their monthly supply of street drugs in August, many of these people hadn't eaten in two weeks before the hurricane.

Also a lot of these people normally just shoplift all their necessities and after the hurricane none of the shops were open.

"I'm still trying to figure out how folks had to go looting for food and water after only one day without."

Theoretical scenario for ya: Welfare checks come at the beginning of the month. By mid-month, the money's gone. by the last of the month, whatever groceries and supplies the folks have bought are gone. The $6 for $5 folks usually cover them until payday.

Hurricane Katrina comes along; folks with money get out of Dodge, including the $6 for $5 guys. The welfare people are REAL short, already, and then the AC goes out. So does the water, etc.

Before anyone starts flaming me for racisim, please note that young GI's, of whatever race, often do the same sorts of things re: money management, or lack thereof.
