A US contractor who was seized in Iraq last year has been freed by US-led forces, the US military has said. Roy Hallums and an Iraqi national were rescued from an isolated farmhouse south of Baghdad.
"Mr Hallums is in a good condition and is receiving medical care," a US military statement said.
Mr Hallums, 57, worked for a Saudi food contracting company when he was seized in an armed assault in the Mansour district of Baghdad on 1 November.

'Forever grateful'
The statement said Mr Hallums and the Iraqi citizen were rescued at approximately 1120 local time in the farmhouse located 25km (15 miles) south of the Iraqi capital.
The information on their whereabouts came from a detainee being held by the coalition, it added.
It is believed Mr Hallums - whose employers received a ransom demand for $12m (£6.5m) - may have been moved several times during his captivity, and possibly passed among different gangs.
Mr Hallums later issued a statement thanking "those who continuously tracked my captors and location, and to those who physically brought me freedom today".
"To all of you, I will be forever grateful," he said.
The US statement also said that "the identity of the other man is being withheld pending notification of his family".
