About 13 dollars an hour with no overtime?
How did you determine the numbers?
I wonder if this is for the Love boats coming in?
I need some new clients.
Try $50 an hour.
It says 24/7 for the amount of hours, so 24 hours x 30 days = 720 hours. Divide that into $10,000 and you have $13.8 per hour.
Realistically it would probably be 12-16 hour days, but it still isn't that great of a pay rate.
I divided it by 30 days. I got about 333 dollars a day. It's 24/7 so I divided that into 3 shifts since it sounds like that they will get called whenever needed without a lot of down time. If room and board provided it's not bad to walk off with 10k (minus taxes) but it doesn't sound cush though.
I wouldn't get on any of the cruise ships/Love boats,... if that $10K contract for 30 days is aboard one of these ships, you'd be on call 24/7 , no matter what was agreed upon
I was looking at it like being on call around the clock. Do paramedics/firefighters who must stay 24 hour shifts get paid for 24 hours or eight? Do they get OT?
I'm wondering if it isn't for the ones that were coming in for evacuees?

Figure two months. One with pay, one with no pay to heal and get back to a new job. Not a great deal.
yup , and it would be easy to find out tomorrow,... along with how many LEOs per 100 guests/evacuees
Flat fee $10k for 30 days 24/7 no shore leave.
the deal will have to be sweetened and tweaked before there'd be quality personnel who would know what questions to ask before signing any contract like this [stock of meds aboard, how many sick bays] and armed LEOs
You can go to Iraq and make $100K tax free as a truck driver, too. Obviously, there are risks.
tell him , those of us that not only put together a bid, then close the deal, then work the job, then go through contortions for that final payment, sometimes end up with,... well, tell him at least he is only depressed [sometimes you catch the bear , sometimes the bear catches you]
Ummmmmm.......Did you notice the fine print?
"work is 24/7 - little down time, no shore leave for 30 days."
