I keep hearing about those "900 FBI files". Pardon my ignorance, but what's the significance? I mean, are we to believe that 900 Republicans have felonious pasts, and that their crimes are both secret and heinous?

Do we care if Bill Frist had a parking ticket in 1979? And if he did, why would the FBI have a file on it? Or are all the Pubbies (and any of their allies) actually convicted criminals, and only the FBI and Hillary know?

Sorry, I just don't get it. No disrespect meant to you, I just see this posted a lot. Regards, HW

I obviously cannot answer that question, because if I could, it would mean that the contents of the files had become public knowledge, and therefore they would be of no further use as blackmail instruments.

All of the evidence is circumstantial, yes. But, that does not dismiss it. Circumstantial evidence is sufficient to get convictions in court.

Here's one troubling piece of circumstantial evidence: the "impeachment interruptus" of the sinkmaster. The Republicans CHOSE to let him walk. They didn't HAVE to let him walk. They had all the votes they needed to convict him, but, at the last minute they CHOSE to throw away those votes. There were some who were livid at what transpired, but, not enough of them to make a difference.

I don't claim that "all the pubbies" are dirty; only that ENOUGH of them have skeletons in their closets that they are NOT willing to allow to become public knowledge.

Politics, as practiced these days, is like making sausage. Not a lot of politicians will get very far in the system by being nice guys. The main difference between "them" and "us" is that THEY are willing to take off the gloves and hit below the belt. "We" on the other hand seem unwilling to "play dirty" when defending ourselves. The net result is an incremental ratcheting to the left. One side is always going push, push, push, and the other is reluctantly trying to put up a partial, polite defense.

No one EVER wins a war by fighting a defensive posture.

So, when I look at the way the Clintons have become "teflon" after Craig Livingston obtained those files for Hillary, it seems obvious that there's a causal link. She certainly wanted them, badly. And common sense tells us there's a REASON she wanted them.
