As I recall, BJ flew over Eastern NC once and bit his lip for the camera.
I'm really starting to wonder if democrats would allow thousands to die in a desperate attempt to hang the deaths on Bush.
Me neither. Personally we said as we listened to his account of how the woman called her son every day asking when someone was coming to get her and every day he told her the next day...same call..the next day again and again till she died.
If it were my mother, mother in law, father, father in law I would have rented a boat and gone to get her MYSELF! There is NO WAY I would have promised my mother or others that help would get to them day after day after day when she was crying to me on the phone.
"As I recall, BJ flew over Eastern NC once and bit his lip for the camera."
The thing from Floyd that really stuck with me was those aerial shots of the sound, as all the dead cattle and debris from inland finally washed out the mouth of the river. I think the scale of it finally hit me then.
It made me sick to my stomach to watch.
Ok. So who's going to send Russert an email telling him how foolish he looked while comforting this shyster?
I knew he was faking. Just too pat and his story didn't wash. Why didn't he go rescue the mom on his own.
What a maroon.
Oh his crying and sobbing was just awful. He has to look at himeself in the mirror sometime...better him than me.
exaclty. never leave to someone else what you can do yourself. he would have gotten to his own mother before worrying about others. anyone would have. this guy just wanted to be dramatic, on top of incorrect.
shame, shame, shame. Shame, shame, shame.
shame, shame, shame. Shame, shame, shame.
And no raping and looting.
he reminded me of Jimmy Swaggart telling a story. Embellished to the enth degree.
I find this totally shocking/ sarcasm.
Wow! We just knew that guy was a phony baloney.
Add to that the Red Cross saying Governor Blanco refused to let the Red Cross deliver food and water to evacuees on Tuesday because she felt it would encourage the evacuees to stay.
HELLO? Where in heck did Blanco expect those evacuees to go? Home to no electricity, the threat of the levees breaking (which they did a few hours later)?
Exactly!
"Add to that the Red Cross saying Governor Blanco refused to let the Red Cross deliver food and water to evacuees on Tuesday because she felt it would encourage the evacuees to stay."
Hewitt was just talking about that.
You have one of the all-time great tag lines gassed up and idling there.
MR. BROUSSARD: ...that have worked 24/7. They're burned out, the doctors, the nurses. And I want to give you one last story and I'll shut up and let you tell me whatever you want to tell me. The guy who runs this building I'm in, emergency management, he's responsible for everything. His mother was trapped in St. Bernard nursing home and every day she called him and said, "Are you coming, son? Is somebody coming?" And he said, "Yeah, Mama, somebody's coming to get you. Somebody's coming to get you on Tuesday. Somebody's coming to get you on Wednesday. Somebody's coming to get you on Thursday. Somebody's coming to get you on Friday." And she drowned Friday night. She drowned Friday night.
MR. RUSSERT: Mr. President...
MR. BROUSSARD: Nobody's coming to get us. Nobody's coming to get us. The secretary has promised. Everybody's promised. They've had press conferences. I'm sick of the press conferences. For God sakes, shut up and send us somebody.
