All these middle class white and black folks who make political and economic capital from the welfare state are truly scared to death of the urban poor. The poor in central cities have long been the tail that wags the dog. This wholesale movement of "the hood" into the mainstream of America will be an eye opener to many people. Notice that Louisiana has no room for the "hood rats" from ghetto "Nawlins" themselves. Its interesting that neighboring communities aren't taking in more people. Why Texas? Why not northern LA? Watch this play out over the coming months. It wasn't an accident the local and state gov't didn't make sure they evacuated these people. If NO and LA weren't so scared of these people and what they might do, they would have carried out the carefully crafted plans to evacuate EVERYBODY.
