Elesu is our FReeper extraordinaire for all things Blanco.
If she doesn't know the answer - she sure knows where to find it.

Yes, Jefferson Parish did support Democrat EWE in 1991 by a margin of more than 32,000 votes.
Oh, you mean the DailyKos lied? Of course they did, they're Democrats.
"NEWSFLASH - Bill Oreilly Program just stated that they cannot get any info on the LA National Guard time line as they have been placed on a "GAG ORDER" OMG!"
Straight from the Governor's office. Can't wait to hear the Congressional Dems defend this one.
Thank! But see post 444 - I think mware may have cleared up the 'related' question...
I can't believe she hasn't resigned or committed suicide yet. I think she will do one or the other when this starts getting published in the local papers and on the local news.
I just got done saying "the Superdome was a concentration camp" before I read this.
I had said nearly the same before I read this. I only proposed they were purposely starving them to force them out.
"LOL, that was a mistake. the media will be all over the story now."
Hey, you have more faith in the media than I do. They had a week to figure out Louisiana screwed up. And as soon as the New York Times said Bush wasn't showing leadership, the media started jumping on the Administration. So much for the media.
I don't know about the Rats jumping ship. The Kool Aid must taste pretty good to the DUmmies.
Haley knows how to git er' done
Heard that was the impression and experience. I remember reading somewhere that some of them ended up on the street near the convention center...
Indeed they did... and they made that decision BEFORE Katrina even hit.

If you think it's too far-fetched, just consider the slander and venom that the Left has been spewing all across the board, as if someone has pressed a button and mobilized them everywhere.
They set a trap for Bush, and it was a two-pronged trap. They willingly allowed a natural disaster to be as bad as it could be, so that they could blame the result on Bush in the orgy of slander and calumnies we are witnessing. But they also allowed it to be as bad as it could be in an attempt to force him to overstep his authority in order to save lives. By using Blanco as a giant monkey wrench in the federal machine, they tried to force his hand into violating Posse Comitatus so they could impeach him. It's that simple. They are truly diabolical.
Bush didn't fall into the second half of the trap, but the first half was unavoidable. To the Dems, it's a win-win situation... but in the end, it'll be a lose-lose for them. For he who sets a trap will fall into it himself, and he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him. The Truth will destroy them.
This is where some discreet 'leaks' from patriotic NG officers would be invaluable..... :^)
I sure hope the full truth comes out soon -- the cover-up must be intense.... that Major Garret report is DEVASTATING for the 'Rat Governor:
1) the state ignored its own published emergency plan which states that AT LEAST 100,000 poor, elderly, and/or "special needs" persons will have to be evacuated from NOLA;
2) the state blocked the Red Cross from bringing numerous trucks and volunteers loaded with food and water in to the Superdome and the Convention Center;
3) the state failed to deploy their own NG in any significant numbers and did not use them for the obvious purpose of helping people in NOLA.
We've got to find out the timeline on what happened behind the scenes between the Governor and the NG!!!
"Democrats should be wetting their pants just about now."
The Democrats I see don't have any shame. And they won't have until they are shamed by the public.
