Her bulging eyes freak me out. I am afraid she has hypnotized me with them, but I can not be certain.

Americans should now harbor no illusions about the government's ability to respond effectively to disasters.

Translation: Don't expect the government to handle your problems (unless there's a Democratic president in the White House)!

Correct Nancy. We now see what state and local Rat governments will do to protect their constituents. Nothing.

The Democrats have no shame....

Btw, aren't the Dems the ones that would bleat about Pres Bush mentioning 9/11? When he mentions it, it's gratuitous and political...when they mention it, of course, they aren't being political at all, God forbid that they would do such a thing. Only the Pres does that. (/s)

November has become synonymous with Democrats losing elections.

I want this woman fired and it has nothing to do with politics. She's crazy, unstable and irrational. I don't want her in congress and certainly not in a leadership role. I see no leadership here.

How would she know .. she's been lacking a brain for years .. and it's been more pronounced since she became the "minority" leader of the House.

Fellow Freepers:

At the suggestion of writer Michelle Malkin last Friday, I have cobbled together a blogsite called Texas Clearinghouse for Katrina Aid to serve as a clearinghouse for refugee efforts in Texas.

Texas is getting more refugees than any other state -- that's fine, we'll take them all -- but we need help providing them with food, clothing, and shelter.

If you are a refugee, you can information that will help you find relief. If you want to donate or volunteer, you can find someone who needs you.

Right now the site mostly covers Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio but I will add various churches, schools, and other charities in Ft. Worth and Lubbock tonight. My wife spent yesterday at Reunion Arena in Dallas handing out care packages and otherwise ministering to the refugees as a representative of her employer.

There are a lot of churches and other organizations in Texas that need help in dealing with the problem and I would greatly appreciate it if you would get the word out.

Many thanks,

Michael McCullough

Stingray blogsite

Considering that the 9/11 commission is about to be exposed for the fraud it is, the dems want to get the last out of the "9/11 was Bush's fault, just read the 9/11 commission report" stick before Weldon drops the bombs.

"At that time, we made some serious and solemn commitments to the American people that we would keep them safe, that we would not be caught off guard, and that those who suffered and died would always be in our hearts, our thought, and our prayers, and serve as an inspiration to us to keep America safe.

"And as soon as the media attention went elsewhere, we began to try to foil every effort the Bush administration made to implement security programs and procedures..."

You mean Ed Markey...one of the best whiners the Commonwealth of Massachusetts ever developed. God, he is a tower of jello.

That's ok.

I feel almost ill at saying this - but Nancy Pelosi has a point.

TSA still conducts full pat-down and luggage searches of 75 year old retired librarians from Cedar Rapids. Special note to TSA: This type of person is not your typical Al-Qaeda operative.

Our borders are wide open. Our port security is still questionable, etc. etc. etc.

Where I won't give Nancy Pelosi credit is that she has no interest in actually solving these problems. She only likes to complain and score political points.
