He held the line for all those years under Clinton, back when CNN was considered "alternative". People should show some respect.

Rabid party groupies seem to have no respect for anyone who questions anything their adopted political deity does. Apparently, they do not hesitate to flail at any unflatering truth with childish innuendo.

Other than the fact he was right on illegal immigration, some of these idiotic trade deals, GOALS 2000 and that he questions Israeli actions from time to time does not make him an anti-Semite.

And the fact that he engages in Holocaust revisionism, has praised Hitler and defends Nazis DOES make him an anti-Semite.

One may carefully taylor any biography with the purpose to outrage.

True. However it is quite apparent that some will offer only silly innuendo when confronted with explaining why their adopted political dogma deviates from reason and ignores the logic of learning from historical fact.

And I'm sure none of these supposed actions by him haven't been taken out of context right?

I agree, a lot of the (empty)rhetoric is so transparent it's just laughable......right from the "country club" conservative playbook.

and yet you continue to ignore the article that documents Buchanan's anti-Semitism & the fact that he surrounded himself with racist advisers in his various campaigns.

To dismiss this article as "One may carefully taylor any biography with the purpose to outrage." is to ignore reality, which, of course, it is your right to do. It strikes me as curious that in light of this evidence, you choose to continue to defend him.

Nevertheless, his own words speak for themselves.

all of them? I think that the chances of all examples, quotes, comments, and writings being taken out of context are slim to none. One or two? Possibly. All? Very unlikely, particularly since many of the examples used are in his own writings. Reading the entire article would clarify that rather quickly.

Communist Party directive issued in 1943:
"Members and front organizations must continually embarrass,
discredit and degrade our critics.... When obstructionists
become too irritating, label them as fascist or Nazi or
anti-Semitic.... Constantly associate those who oppose us
with those names that already have a bad smell.
The association will, after enough repetition, become
"fact" in the public mind." -- 1956 Report of the House
Committee on Un-American Activities (volume 1, page 347)

I think if one needs a "boogeyman" one would distort reality and all recorded historical fact to the purpose of assigning corporeal attributes to such a specter.

Young people don't remember, and have no respect for what he did in the 70's and 80's when republicans had almost no voices in the media.

Too many name-callers on this site now.

right from the "country club" conservative playbook.

Right from the DNC class warfare/envy playbook.

PJB, America first, right? Drives a Mercedes doesn't he? The hypocrisy of his rhetoric is pretty transparent.

Nice try...Buchanan's own words speak for themselves...

mo·ron Audio pronunciation of "moron" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (môrn, mr-) n.

1. A stupid person; a dolt.

More than a passing resemblance. Troll somewhere else. Adults are having a conversation.

Cop out. Read his work...read his own words. Too bad that we can't see the cancer within the conservative movement, if Buchanan can indeed be called a conservative. Natinal Socialist may be more apt, considering his praise for Hitler.

Oh really? You haven't made a single comment about the actual article posted. Care to rebut or debunk any points from the article? Oh wait, you can't, so you revert to your old Communist smearing technique. Guess that's always a last ditch desperation tactic when the facts are lined against you.

You're not fooling anyone, troll.
