3. The Houston Astrodome, it turns out, is always stocked for potential Galveston evacuees! Hopefully we'll get a cold front through Texas soon that will prevent any new hurricane from hitting Texas.

That article contains the true reason for the Dems pre-mature finger-pointing at Bush. I am amazed that they want an inquiry.

Update your great photo with the location where the Red Cross was prevented from entering to deliver water and food to Superdome...BIG Red Cross symbol would be nice..

The school board wouldn't release the school buses to the city. A FReeper found minutes for the negotiations between the city & school board, which took place over the past year. I don't think Nagin had the power to commandeer any of the yellow buses!

Maybe we need a mailing campaign to beg the President to get a stronger, more eloquent, spokesperson. Karen would be good, but he gave her another job.

The city works for the mayor, thats B.S.
The mayor had emergency powers in the evacuation plan.

That's a great graphic. If I may offer an opinion, to further point out the stupidity of NOT using available resources, the two bus lots that are 1.2 miles due east of the Superdome could have been shown. They are under the last line of the text box "Unflooded areas of New Orleans...". There were around 240 busses that formed Nagin's Navy and should have be shown. It would have emphasized the lack of forsight of the local "leadership".
Again, it's a great graphic.

BTW, where was Nagin located at that time? It is my understanding he was in Baton Rouge. If so, might be nice to have point that out in the photo. Big red arrow would be nice.
Thanks for your time and thoughtful work.

It is easy to train people to hate Bush. It is like training a dog to sit.
