I was all set to defend President Bush... Yeah right... that's why all the urinals at the Trib have a picture of Bush taped on them.

---I was all set to defend President Bush---
But then the opportunity to attack his mother arose...

Have you ever seen or been in the New Orleans projects? The Grey Fox's remark was correct from every angle. Many of these people, actually some three generations of them have lived like caged animals in public housing, encouraged by their chosen government, Democratic, to live on the hand outs of Government both State and Federal.
It is time for all to see the real picture of the Welfare Cripple. Yes, many are better off than they have ever been before.
Get of Mrs. Bush's back!

No one has mentioned that this was probably a jest about how great it is to live in Texas.........that once you get there, you never want to leave.
The Bush family loves that state and the city of Houston, and call it home.
Anybody else have this take on what the wonderful Bar said?
(This family is the most UNracist family in politics. Trying to attack the President as a racist through his mother is REALLY stupid).

I agree completely that this is a non-issue, except for the 24 hour news cycle.
By the same token, it is a "So besides everything else, Mrs. Lincoln, how'd you like the show?" moment.

Unfortunately, this has been picked up in Europe as well. IIRC from the report I heard last night, the comment of the "reporter" after telling everyone what Barbara said was, "so much for the conservative compassion of the Bush Clan."
SICK.

This is the same as saying, "I was all set to defend President Bush and then I took another breath."
They think because they say they "almost" defended him, it allows them to rant on, like saying "both sides are to blame" then blaming the other side.

I was all set to defend President Bush as a guy who really doesn't want poor black people in Louisiana and Mississippi to die of starvation and disease, no matter what the Democrats say. Bullshit.

Bar is a mean old rich-bitch, and this proves it.
She might just as well have said, "Let them eat cake".
