I bet you that developers are starting to circle. Nagin's got visions of emminent domain dancing in his head. And if there's nobody to protest their homes and neighborhoods being bulldozed for commercial development, so much the better.

I have been telling my wife that we should think about buying some property. She pointed out that Nagin and his cronies would never allow anyone to get any good land.

That was one of my first thoughts as well. Right behind "more opportunities for looting, but without bothersome witnesses."

Loot first, then bulldoze.

Nagin's got visions of emminent domain dancing in his head. ,p> Excellent insight, and I'll bet you are right. If he's not smart enough to come up with this on his own, you can bet that some liberal is whispering "blighted" in his ear.

I bet you developers were starting to circle the evening that it was clear so much of New Orleans was flooded.

Those developers had better be careful about spending upfront money because I have a feeling the city and state aren't going to have a lot of say in the redevlopment. Unless they are planning on paying for it out of their own pockets.

Yes, and deals are floating everywhere for the "officials" - probably.

Those people refusing to leave probably know exactly what would happen to their homes and property, and that is why they are staying.
