I sent some links to articles, exposing the weak spots in the evacuation plan, and the rampant corruption of those in power in LA, that I ran across last night. I think he read them and finally came around to see the light.

Absolutely. Blanco and Nagin.
But, that does not mean Chertoff and Brown were also incompetent at their level.
Nagin and Blanco are elected. They hopefully will be fired at next electiuon -- better yet removed from office asap.
Brown and Chertoff are appointed and therefore should be in the unemployment line next month.

The 'rats are quickly losing interest in the "blame game" now that it looks like they are going to get clobbered.
I say, don't let up. They have spent the last week - the crucial period, posturing and calling 'rat central to get marching orders and talking points. Now that help is on the way, let's start pressing to show who REALLY screwed up and cost lives.

Meanwhile, egocentric interviewer Donny Deutsch continues to say "Rudy was a leader during 9-11. Bush really missed it this time." He needs to do some more reading. Someone send him those articles!
To: jveritas
No, sorry, it's all Bush's fault. I know this because Charlie Gibson said so on tv.

Blanco and Nagin are probably like, get the Natalee Holloway story back on cable tv.

Yeah but Bill's comments on Price Gouging was a joke. All I thought of was the following post.
"There is no such thing as price gouging, and anyone who says otherwise is a Communist fool. In a capitalist economy there is no such thing as "price gouging"! In the old communist economies of East Europe there were always lines for everything as things were always in short supply. That was because the prices were kept artificially low. There was no incentive to produce goods for artificially low prices. When they switched to capitalism the lines dried up when the prices went up. The stores are now full of goods. The prices are much higher as well. There were those who complained "But the price of bread is now 10 times what it used to be and I can't afford that." The answer to that is: "If the price of bread is so high then now is the perfect time to get into the bread-making business." Those who saw opportunity thrived. Those who ran to the government for protection -- well, they are called "Democrats."

O'Reilly has his good moments. His segment last night with Newt Gingrich was good too. Bill's position was that people needed to prepare themselves rather than expecting the government to save them and Newt was thinking like a liberal that we just needed to somehow rearrange the bureaucracy to get things right.
Too bad O'Reilly still doesn't have a clue when it comes to basic economics and gas prices. He still thinks you can fix the market by somehow cutting company profits. We tried that (windfall profits tax). It just discourages competition in the market. High prices and high profits encourage competition and discourage waste/inefficiency.

O'Reilly Poll questions are always stupid. It amazes me. they're either vague or not specific enough (too general)
How hard is it to come up with a good incisive question? Yet week after week they stink!

yea, but he got it wrong about Homeland Security knowing that people were without food and water.
He said they should have watched the news, I think they were a little too busy to watch the news.
They were depending on the information that was being fed to them first hand not from the press.
Bill got it wrong.

You know Bill O'Reilly and his stupid "fair and balance" crap, he always wants to throw something at the federal authorities just to say look at me I am being fair and balance by criticizing all sides. He blamed the federal authorities tonight to a lesser degree than what he did in the previous nights but he definitely pointed out tonight and that the main problems were Blanco and Nagin, and he did so to Nagin for the first time since hurricane Katrina crisis has begun.
