Same Sex unions were accepted in many ancient societies. There has not always been interracial marriages. It is most pronounced in american history, because we had such a high number of minorities.

Absolute bull. Peoples have always mixed interracially. What in the world do you see south of the border? Everywhere people have traveled or conquered they have intermarried.

Name me one society in which a gay partner had any inherent rights.

Even in ancient athens, homosexuality was punished by expulsion and in the case of pedophilia, by death.

Homosexuality was never accepted by the polulace of any society. Even in ancient rome, the public considered those who practiced homosexuality to be freaks.
