BRAVO!! GREAT RANT!!!
I heard today that John Kyl (R) of Arizona is another Senator itching for hearings...I have tried to tell myself that it is because he KNOWS that Bush will be shown to have done all he could...within the law (which God forbid the left would allow him to break).
Rush and Tony Snow...didn't let us down...and O'Reilly did a 180 tonight and started blaming the mayor and governor instead of Bush...but I don't trust him...so don't take him OFF the list yet.

You're absolutely correct. I'll note that Limbaugh is defending the President and noting the flooded school buses. To take the view that the federal government failed here is to absolutely deny the responsibility of the local and state governments. Only communists want a federal government that can render immediate aid in a disaster such as this.

It is always easier to criticize than it is to actually execute under fire.
I'm not happy with some of the "so called" leaders involved in this crisis, but I'm willing to hold my fire until they get the job done.
Too bad so many are more comfortable running to get in front of a microphone/camera than they are to actually lending a hand.

Don't worry, though. Hillary has called for a "Katrina" commission. That should take care of everything just like the 911 commission did. I respectfully suggest that the first members appointed be the Governor of Louisiana, Senator Landrieaux, and Mayor Nagin. Only then can we get to the bottom of this.

Thanks for saying what I'm thinking. The blame starts with the locals and if they want to blame FEMA for acting within their charter, well we don't need Republicans hopping on the bandwagon.
I, too, was surprised to listen to Jindal this morning. I honestly thought he was a Democrat! Goes to show he's scared about going against the stream.
This would be the perfect opportunity to blow LA politics - the graft and corruption - wide open.

Great rant, I came back for it as promised. The good news is that Bush needs none of these folks to succeed, which is one of the things that bothers them so. Especially people like Bill Kristol who thinks he should be guiding Presidents from behind the stage. Bush does his job, ignores the naysayers and distributes credit among HIS team. If you aint on it, you aint heard. That should be a lesson for all of us. You want to play on the team? Stay on the team through good times and bad.

The only mistake that FEMA made was trusting that the Local, City & State Governments of Louisiana would try to act like adults that had a clue of how to control New Orleans
The blame IMO falls straight at the feet of the Officials of Louisiana .. ESPECIALLY Gov. Blanco
I am STILL speechless with regard to the news the NOPD is taking a trip to Las Vegas because of the stress they are under
I still remember the images of the NYPD and Fire Department Crews a week after the terrible attack of 9/11 .. standing side by side in a bucket brigade trying to dig and search for the dead in the WTC
Not Once did any of them complain and need a vacation to Party their butts off
As for the Nit Wits up in Congress and their investigations???
How about we collect our dead before you farts start with your Grandstanding and speeches

Amen! God bless President Bush. He has a loyal base of true conservatives and anything the others say now that is wrong will hurt them someday because we don't forget.

Feel free to add those whose cowardice should be marked and noted.
Add to? I think you nailed the lot of them on the head Miss Marple. Thank you for posting this most magnificent rant! I agree with you. President Bush has done more in the past four and a half years for conservative values and issues than anyone since the Reagan administration. Lots of short memories around these days.

Been waiting for this.
We always knew where the democrats stood. Anti-America as we know and love it.
But the traitors within our own party.....traitors that we supported, helped elect. That is the cruelest cut of all.
I remember the Alamo. I will remember this.
