The actual evacuation plan for New Orleans included the use of school and private buses to evacuate residents who had no other means of getting out:
"...for people who have no transportation, that city municipal transportation, school buses, public buses, will be used to get them out of the city."
- City of New Orleans Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (Rush provides the link)
The rats have finally figured out they will LOSE the "blame game", so they don't want to play anymore.
They figure that after they got their sucker punch in, now they say they want to "play nice".
To hell with that. Hammer it home again and again and again.
"500 buses, none deployed prior to or after the hurricane. To where? Those 80 elderly who drowned in a nursing home, as one example, would have been happy for a ride 2 miles away to higher ground. There is NO excuse, no matter how hard you try."
There's no great excuse, I'm pointing out logisitics and planning mentality.
Jerk! Tell it to TEXAS!
Vidor, TX.
"Hell, a sixteen year old who had never driven a bus before drove one filled with people all the way to Houston.
20! The guy was 20 years old! NOT 13, NOT 16, 20!!! Geez! WHERE do you guys get your info???? I saw him interviewed by Greta.
Didn't he once--a few days ago--whine, "No more press conferences"?
Fox is weakening on its "fair and balanced" posture to accomodate the left (why? they already have more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined).
That's why they are picking up lefties like Geraldo, Wesley Clark, Greta, Bill Hemmer.
Sorry Shermy...I read it wrong. Long day, getting tired. Keep up the good work. RT
Anyone who can drive a pickup truck can drive a school bus. They have automatic transmissions and are like driving big vans.
He so fears being criticized by any "minority" that he will refuse to call a looter a looter, or a fool a fool--and in so doing he thinks he is superior for his "sensitivity". In reality, those he loves to call "his brothers" can see through his PC.
And-- I KNOW that in a whole lot of places a whole lot of those brothers--and even some sisters-- are calling the looters and the authorities who didn't stop them a whole lot of names, chief among an "N" word used with absolutely NO affection!
That said, I feel he loves America and his reporting in Iraq (the war) and his support of the troops does command a certain amount of my respect.

"Nagin has a plan....for all those dead people to vote Democrat in the next election."
*** POST OF THE DAY AWARD ***
The ones requiring actual logic--no.
Nagin does not seem up to speed. Maybe his is like Mayor Berry from Washington D.C.
Did you see Geraldo's coverage in front if the Convention Center? I have NEVER seen more shameless showboating and perverse lip-licking at being in the center of what he called "Dante's Inferno" amid his own threats/assurances f that everything inside the Center was going to break loose and spin out of control come nightfall. What might look like a "meltdown" from any other correspondent, was for Geraldo a full flowering as he came into his own element.
It's as though he was returning to the chaos of the Jerry Springer type show he had years ago, when some skinhead broke his nose with a chair. Or maybe that determined his course forever.
Calm down, previous press reported him as sixteen.
