I was a Firefighter in DC during the riots of 68 Not one window was broken in Washingtons Chinatown. I remember during the Rotney King riots when Korean Businessmen were armed and they didnt have problems either.

Looters dont loot when they know they will be shot or killed. They are out for loot not to die.

The idiots burned and looted their own neighborhood down around 14th & U St. N.W. and that area came back around 30 years later.

They had problems, all right, but they were holding the solution in their hands. For a few it was bad, the LAPD disarmed them and then their shops were looted and burned, sometimes in front of the police.

remember hearing a story about some town down south during the civil rights riots where a cop pulled out his war relic ma deuce and mounted it on top of the police station. the surrounding cities were burned and looted, his was never touched, and he never had to fire a shot. firearms are the defining deterrant to crime.
