I believe I've seen quotes from LA Guardsmen that have said they handed out water at the Convention Center.

Let alone mounds of trash that would indicate these folks were eating and drinking something.

Are you saying the people who were at the convention center (which by the way was not a designated shelter) were there for five days with no food? When did they start showing up there (I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday, but I'm sure you know the exact day). How many were there? When did NOLA officials inform FEMA they were there (and don't give me the "they should have been watching CNN and they would have known" bit)? By what method do you suggest FEMA deliver the food? I think the conditions in both the Superdome and the convention center were terrible, but to blame FEMA and exaggerate the situation is doing a disservice to all involved. What did you do to alleviate their suffering?
