It seems to me the biggest screw-ups in the N.O. matter come from incompetent state and local officials. I've heard of federal DA offices, and I'm sure they have an office that covers New Orleans. But being an incompetent government official isn't a federal crime -- not that I know of.
I understand your urge to hold people accountable. I agree with you. I just don't follow your point when you said this is the president's job -- that's not how things work in the U.S. It's the job of citizens at the state and local level to get better leaders for themselves, and to clean up the mess in their government.
