I agree. I have paid no attention to this lady. I don't know her story. I am amazed that this news item still has legs. I think it was persisted only because of the 24/7 need for news stories. But Katrina is on news now. So Cindy is really unimportant.

Katrina is a huge, real story. It has implications for human lives, evacuation, disaster, it's huge.

Cindy, however, was a manufactured story based on a human interest sad story. Not unlike Natalee Holloway....these fake stories go away when a real news story comes up.
