I guess don't understand what "mutilated bodies" means.

Mutilated means they didn't die of natural causes, but rather from brutal, body-maiming treatment.

Mutilated bodies? The high winds were not in New Orleans only flooding.

I wonder if the looters started killing people for the fun of it? Some of the looters were high on drugs.
