Last time my house flooded, 3 water leaks, I was out of town, I had to gut the whole house. We lost everything. Mold was growing on the walls, furniture, ceilings, everywhere.

The insurance company refused to replace the beams, so I did. I knocked out tile, wallboard, cabinets, everything because of the mold. Then I waited 6 months to let the contractor rebuild.

Wow! Hopefully everything is back to normal. As for the insurance company, well, that doesn't surprise me one bit. They are fine with taking all the premiums they can, but will strive day and night to find some loophole when it comes to paying for damages. Anyways, I'm glad you sorted that stuff out (it seems you did).

As for the people affected in this crisis ...goodness, my heart just goes out to them. What they are going through is just immense. Even the ones who did not lose loved ones still lost their homes and businesses. Words cannot express what can be seen clearly in their faces. God bless them.
