However, if they are relocated to locations north of I 10 they really are pretty much out of the danger zones for the storms. The central and northern part of the state does not have the same risks to storms as the coastal and lower parishes. Send them to Ouachita, Jackson or Lincoln Parish or somewhere there abouts. There is NOTHING there except pine trees. One parish in western Louisiana just got land line phones to them. I'm talking out in the boon docks.

I don't know if this has been discussed on this thread, but I just heard Rush discuss that there are going to be $2000 debit cards given to each hurricane victim???

What connotes a victim??? Each person in family...??

There is a new thread about it...I didn't know if ya'll had that here or not.

True, but how are they going to get these people out of those mobile homes? They are saying FEMA wants this to be temporary but for some of the people this will be better than where they were before in NO. They will not be able to get them out of there.
