They probably did. They can only take so much outrage from voters and then they need a coffee break.
I just called one of his regional offices and they said that it was probably a case of sites and numbers being "overwhelmed" (a lot of people all trying at once to fax, call, email).
You can register a numerical, non-personal opinion vote on the 916-445-2841 (Sacramento/Capitol) number...they'll ask if you want to register an opinion on legislation, press (#) and then offer you the option to register a yes/no opinion on both SB60 (drivers licenses/illegalaliens) and SB849 (called "gender neutral marriage bill" of all things).
I did that and then I also wrote an email...
