You have clearly missed the obvious: men and women who are well-raised in a two-parent home are unlikely to loot.

I would guess that 90% of the looters, male and female, grew up in a household with no father.

I also notice that bands of roaming male thugs in their late teens and twenties made up the bulk of the violent looters and criminals.

I'll bet that a large number of the men roaming in these wolfpacks had children and "babymamas" elsewhere in the city, yet were making no attempt to find or help them.
